However, the Coach will demand radical changes to the squad this summer, something which could irritate the Napoli owner, who has been frustrated with Sarri’s lack of use of his current squad.
The pair are agreed on other topics though, with De Laurentiis now willing to offer a significant wage rise to convince Sarri to stay.
For his part, the Coach doesn’t want to leave via his release clause.
If he is to leave the club, it would be via a mutual termination, rather than a club exploiting the clause in his contract.
