Sarri: ‘Balotelli would suit Napoli’

Mario Balotelli tweeted praise for Napoli during tonight’s game and Maurizio Sarri was open to a January transfer for the Nice hitman.

SuperMario is currently out injured and spent his evening watching Napoli crush Inter 3-0 on his television.

“Napoli wow what a goal” he wrote with a double emoji of hearts in eyes after Piotr Zielinski’s opener.

Soon after he then tweeted: “Napoli’s players? Maaaammaaaa mia.”

Considering the Partenopei are in dire need of a centre-forward and Balotelli’s daughter lives in Naples, this is an intriguing show of enthusiasm.

Coach Sarri was asked about Balotelli’s tweets on Sky Sport Italia.

“It depends on him. It’s very nice living in Nice, but then it’s lovely in Naples too.”

Does Balotelli have the right characteristics for Sarri’s 4-3-3 system?

“Mario is a player with the right characteristics for any team. When he doesn’t, it’s his fault.”

Sarri was also asked about the Balotelli comments on Rai Sport.

"I do not deal with the transfer market, but if he likes I can forward him (director of sport Cristiano) Giuntoli's number."
