Ex-Napoli defender Salvatore Aronica believes the San Paolo factor can make all the difference when the Azzurri play Porto tonight.

The 36-year-old’s former side trail 1-0 from their Europa League Last 16 first leg with the Portuguese champions.

“The San Paolo on occasions like this has never disappointed,” Aronica said to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“We all know the lift it can give the team.

“I watched the first leg and Napoli played well at times. For me they didn’t deserve to lose and they haven’t lost the chance to qualify.”

Aronica was then asked about striker Gonzalo Higuain.

“Higuain is definitely a team player and is not all about goals.

“It’s difficult to compare him to Cavani seeing as this is the Argentine’s first season at the club.”
