Sampdoria claim they have no plans to sign a new goalkeeper over the next two weeks – even after the departure of Sergio Romero.
The Argentine has now completed his loan move to French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco and he was expected to be replaced by a new face.
“Despite the departure of Romero, boss Delio Rossi has not asked us for a reinforcement in that area of the pitch,” sporting director Carlo Osti told Radio Sei.
“He already has Angelo Da Costa and Vincenzo Fiorillo in the squad. For the minute goalkeepers are not of interest, we’ll see what happens in the future.”
Doria have been paired with Palermo shot-stopper Stefano Sorrentino and Albano Bizzarri of Lazio.
