Giuseppe Rossi “would love to work with Zdenek Zeman,” revealed his agent, fuelling reports of a January switch to Roma.
The Villarreal talent had been linked to numerous Serie A clubs over the summer, but they opted not to take the gamble after he underwent another major knee operation.
“Roma would be an intriguing option for him, as he would love to work with Zeman,” Federico Pastorello told Sky Sport Italia.
“Rossi had given the all-clear to the move, but then it never quite materialised. There were several clubs who showed an interest, but at this moment we mustn’t be in a rush.
“The Premier League clubs? We won’t rule anything out.”
Rossi has been out of action since October 2011 after snapping the cruciate ligament in his knee twice.
“Another operation is planned between September 20 and 25. If everything goes well, then he will go into the third bout of surgery.
“From that moment it’ll take around five months to see him back on the field.”
