Rossi ignores Milan worries

Delio Rossi insists Palermo will not rest players ahead of the Coppa Italia semi-final against Milan. “We're focused only on Bari.”

The Rosanero drew the first leg 2-2 at San Siro and have the decider on Tuesday evening, so could be tempted to make changes on Saturday.

“I realise there is an enormous sense of expectation around the Coppa Italia, but we have to be focused only on Bari,” said the Coach.

The Rosanero drew the first leg 2-2 at San Siro and have the decider on Tuesday evening, so could be tempted to make changes on Saturday.

“I realise there is an enormous sense of expectation around the Coppa Italia, but we have to be focused only on Bari,” said the Coach.

“From Saturday evening onwards, we will think about Milan. One thing is for certain: our team will not hold back, especially as anyone who doesn't perform against Bari cannot suddenly rediscover their form three days later.

“Of course I will field a logical line-up taking into account the fact we'll play again on Tuesday, but there's nothing to say there won't be doubling up.

“Fabrizio Miccoli will play tomorrow, while all the players called up are in a condition to start.”

Rossi was sacked and then re-hired 35 days later, but his contract expires at the end of the season and it's still not clear what will happen.

“I have already said my future will be built upon my present. I think of tomorrow's game and will not spend time denying something that hasn't happened.

“If you get fired, then you certainly can't continue your work. At the moment that's the last of my worries, as I am focused on Bari.”
