Verona Coach Andrea Mandorlini accepts Romulo will leave for Juventus and targets Mexico legend Rafael Marquez.
Hellas have already sold Juan Manuel Iturbe to Roma this summer and it’s widely reported they have agreed terms with Juve for their Brazilian-Italian winger Romulo.
“This is the chance of a lifetime for him,” Mandorlini told Sky Sport Italia.
“It was a great season and many clubs wanted him. It’s a shame he missed out on the World Cup, as he would’ve been of use to Cesare Prandelli.
“I don’t know what will happen over the course of the market, but I think it’s safe to say Romulo is on his way out of Verona.”
They brought in Nene and Panagiotis Tachtsidis, but are also targeting Mexican centre-back Marquez.
“He is a player that I like and his career speaks for him. I don’t know how advanced the negotiations are, but he is an experienced player who would be important not just for Verona, but many other clubs too.
“I don’t know if we will continue to amaze this season. We changed many players, but the spirit I see in the first training sessions is still the right one.”
