Cristian Romero assures Atalanta will play ‘with an attacking mentality’ in their final Champions League showdown with Ajax, after a draw with Midtjylland.
La Dea needed a late header from their centre-back to cancel out the Alexander Scholz scorcher in Bergamo for a 1-1 draw.

“We were unable to score in the first half, as we lacked precision in the final pass,” Romero told Sky Sport Italia.
“We should’ve won today, so it was a decent performance and we created many chances. We gave it our all, but Midtjylland pressed and did well too. Now we have two out of three results against Ajax and need another fine performance in Amsterdam.”
Atalanta remain incredibly inconsistent in Serie A and the Champions League, as in the last week they’ve won 2-0 away to Liverpool, lost to Hellas Verona and drawn with Midtjylland.
Romero assures they will not take a defensive approach or go for the point against Ajax.
“We have to play the way we know how, with an attacking mentality. We’ve got to go there aiming to win.”
