“It’s a very important result, also for how it was achieved,” he told Rai Sport. “We believed until the end. We are doing well physically.”
“When you win, you get more energy. On Sunday we are up against Verona. It will also be a great challenge against Juventus in the semi-finals, but we continue to take one game at a time.”
Milan continue to impress in 2020 and are currently unbeaten in all six games after the winter break.
Next up, as mentioned by Romagnoli, is a home game against Hellas Verona in Serie A on Sunday, before the Derby della Madonnina against Inter on February 9.
