Alessio Romagnoli is “struggling to believe” it after scoring on his full Serie A debut for hometown club Roma.
The defender only turned 18 in January and was given his first League start in tonight’s 3-1 win over Genoa, finding the net with a header.
“I am struggling to believe it happened, to be honest,” grinned Romagnoli on Mediaset Premium.
“I dedicate the goal to my family. This is our third consecutive victory, achieved thanks to the great work done over the last few weeks.
“Am I destined for greatness? I just hope that I was able to convince the Coach to have faith in me. There’s plenty more time for me to prove myself.”
Romagnoli scored on the same day Francesco Totti netted his 225th Serie A goal and was not even born when the captain netted his debut strike.
