Roma’s Curva Sud Ultras have announced that they will boycott the Derby della Capitale in protest, just like their Lazio counterparts.
The fixture is regarded as one of the most colourful and passionate fixtures in world football, but both Curvas will be empty for the game on 3 April.
Both sets of fans have spent the entire season protesting at new safety measures that have seen barriers constructed through the middle of the Curva sections behind the goals.

“We return to our origins – The Curva Sud will move to Testaccio for the day of the Derby,” read a statement from the Curva Sud.
“Meet at 13:30 on Via Zabaglia in front of the old Campo Testaccio to then go on foot to watch the game in the building that will host us on Lungotevere Testaccio to experience a special day together and support AS Roma.
“We’ll start from our glorious past to take back the future…not a step backwards, without compromise, without barriers!”
