Roma target Mitrovic

Roma are believed to be tracking Anderlecht’s €16m-rated Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.

According to Sport Italia pundit Alfredo Pedullà, the Giallorossi have set their sights on the forward who won’t turn 21 until September.

He joined Anderlecht from Partizan Belgrade in August 2013 for just €5m and has more than tripled his value on the transfer market.

This season he scored 27 goals in 50 competitive club games, including two in the Champions League.

Roma are seeking a forward, as Gervinho is heading to Al-Jazira and Seydou Doumbia was a bitter disappointment after his January move from CSKA Moscow.

Anderlecht want €16m for Mitrovic, but Rudi Garcia’s side hope to whittle that down to around €11m.
