Lorenzo Pellegrini is facing several weeks out after the Roma midfielder suffered a foot injury.
Roma’s official website reports Pellegrini fractured the fifth metatarsal in his right foot during their 1-0 win at Lecce yesterday.
He will now have surgery on Tuesday, only after which point the date for his return can be determined.
The 23-year-old will miss at least the Giallorossi’s next two games against Wolfsberger and Cagliari.
He also looks like being absent for the international break between October 7 and 15, when Italy take on Greece and Liechtenstein.
