Roma have confirmed that Diego Perotti is facing two months out with a hamstring injury.
Perotti missed Roma’s 3-3 draw with Genoa in their Serie A opener on Sunday and it has since emerged that the winger tore the myotendinous junction in his left hamstring.
The Argentine has already begun receiving treatment, although he will need 6-8 weeks to recover.
The 31-year-old could miss as many as eight League games, including clashes with Lazio, Atalanta and Milan.

It comes after his 2018-19 campaign was ravaged by muscular problems, limiting him to just 15 appearances in all competitions.
The Giallorossi may now look to bring in a wide man before the summer transfer window shuts on September 2.
