Inter’s bid for Patrik Schick is falling apart because they won’t release Eder, so Roma are now the favourites for the Sampdoria striker.
Schick has now recovered from a cardiac irregularity that scuppered his transfer to Juventus last month.
The Nerazzurri had been in advanced negotiations, but with Ivan Perisic resisting Manchester United, they cannot buy the Czech outright and balance Financial Fair Play considerations.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sampdoria had created an opening by agreeing to take Eder as part of an exchange deal for Schick, but Coach Luciano Spalletti considers him an essential part of the team.
Roma spotted the situation and dived in yesterday with an offer to take 21-year-old Schick.
He’d be the heir to Mohamed Salah and cost in the region of €30m, well below the rejected proposal for Leicester City forward Riyad Mahrez.
Schick has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, Napoli, Monaco and Bayern Munich.
