Zaniolo is joined out of the squad by winger Daniele Verde, who is reportedly in talks with Porto, although Gregoire Defrel makes the cut, despite his future in Giallorosso looking bleak.
Finally, defenders Federico Fazio and Aleksandar Kolarov are in, just weeks after they represented Argentina and Serbia at the World Cup respectively.
The Lupi kick off their preseason campaign in North America against Tottenham Hotspur on July 26, ahead of facing Real Madrid on August 1 and Barcelona, their opponents in last season’s Champions League quarter-finals, a week later.
