Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has declined to comment on the club’s seemingly imminent signing of Mario Balotelli.

The Milan forward is on his way to England to undergo a medical with the Anfield club before signing from the Rossoneri for a fee of €20m plus bonuses.

“I categorically cannot comment on players until they have signed,” Rodgers told a Press conference ahead of his side’s Premier League match with Manchester City on Monday.

The Reds manager was also questioned about the code of conduct reportedly being inserted into Balotelli’s contract.

“Every club will have a code of conduct. We have a fantastic environment and a great culture. Nothing will ever shake that.

”People who know me well will tell you I look to try and develop the player and the person.

“Thankfully we have that culture here. I’ve shown before that as long as players care and want to learn, we can give them the opportunity to develop."
