Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly finalised details for a €37m deal to sign Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.

In exile in his homeland of Argentina since the autumn, the want-away striker has been heavily linked this January transfer window with a move to Serie A.

However, in light of neither Inter or Milan reportedly able to fund a move that matches City’s asking price, PSG have taken the initiative and earlier this week had an offer accepted believed to be in the region of an initial €29m fee, rising to €37m after various clauses.

La Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting late on Friday that Tevez has now agreed personal terms with the Ligue 1 side after a meeting held in Paris between the club’s sporting director Leonardo and the player’s advisor Kia Joorabcian.

The 27-year-old is understood to have agreed a three-and-a-half-year deal on an €11m annual salary, which was reportedly €4m more a season than PSG’s original contract offer. If reports are accurate, the deal to land the forward could cost the French club a total spend upwards of €75m.
