Reports suggest Juventus will make a final attempt to negotiate with Napoli for Gonzalo Higuain, and if not they’ll pay his €90m clause.

The Turin giants have informed the Partenopei that they will activate his release clause, but haven’t given up hope of a cash-plus-players deal.

Now Sky is reporting that general manager Giuseppe Marotta will call Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis tonight, offering cash plus one or more of Roberto Pereyra, Daniele Rugani, Stefano Sturaro or Simone Zaza.
If De Laurentiis is unwilling to negotiate, the Old Lady will simply pay the clause in two instalments of €94m.
Higuain is expected in Turin in the next 48 hours, but that timescale could be extended if the Partenopei are willing to negotiate, as some Juve players would have to negotiate a deal to move the other way.
