Pepe Reina believes Napoli “showed we are more mature now” after a 2-1 victory away to Milan. “We can win ugly too.”
The Partenopei dominated the first half-hour at San Siro last night, scoring through Lorenzo Insigne and Jose Callejon, but Juraj Kucka found the net to spark a more even hour.
“We showed that we are more mature now, as every now and then you have to win like this,” said the goalkeeper.

“Not all of Napoli’s football needs to be beautiful. We can win ugly too, sometimes. We’re happy with the result.
“I think we can definitively say Napoli have made the step up in quality when we manage to do this consistently. We don’t always kill games off, but we’re happy anyway.”
Maurizio Sarri’s men are now unbeaten since a 2-1 loss at Juventus on October 29, putting together nine victories and five draws in all competition.
However, Reina hasn’t kept a clean sheet since December 11 with the 5-0 triumph in Cagliari, conceding 10 goals in the last six matches.
Their next test is the Coppa Italia quarter-final against Fiorentina at the Stadio San Paolo on Tuesday evening.
