Reina calls Callejon to Milan

Pepe Reina left Napoli as a free agent for Milan and is reportedly now trying to convince Jose Callejon to join him.

The veteran goalkeeper’s contract was not renewed at the Stadio San Paolo and he decided to put pen to paper with the Rossoneri.

According to the Corriere dello Sport newspaper, Reina is actively urging his fellow Spaniard Callejon to become part of the Milan project too.

There have been repeated rumours over the last few months that Gennaro Gattuso and the San Siro giants were interested in signing Callejon.

With Maurizio Sarri’s exit and the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti, a change of tactics is to be expected.

Callejon is 31 years old and under contract with Napoli until June 2020.

This season, he scored 12 goals with 17 assists in 50 competitive games for Napoli.
