Fabrizio Ravanelli sees similarities between the current Juventus team and the one that won the 1996 Champions League.
The 48-year-old was part of the Old Lady team that won the second and most recent of their European crowns 21 years ago, scoring in the final against Ajax.
And speaking ahead of Juve's semi-final second leg of this year's competition, the former forward believes the current crop have what it takes to emulate Marcello Lippi's class of '96.

And speaking ahead of Juve's semi-final second leg of this year's competition, the former forward believes the current crop have what it takes to emulate Marcello Lippi's class of '96.
"They know what their capabilities are, they have passed some tough tests and now they want to show their quality," Ravanelli told Le Parisien.
"Juve play great football, they have great players and this would be the perfect time to crown their careers at Juventus.
"Both this Juve and the one in 1996 have a great winning mentality, belief in what they do and very good forwards.
"Lippi and Allegri are both Tuscan. Lippi made history and Allegri is doing it now."
Ravanelli also commented on comparisons made between himself and current Juve forward Mario Mandzukic.
"I like the comparision, he is one of those players who value the team above all else. The only difference is that he scores a lot fewer goals than me!"
The former Lazio, Middlesbrough and Derby County man added that the performances of veteran Dani Alves had surprised him.
"I like Alex Sandro a lot but the one who is surprising me most is Dani Alves. He is putting in impressive performances and is a great professional."
