“In order to get a result against Inter, Cagliari will need the perfect performance, making hardly any mistakes and hoping that the Nerazzurri are on a bad day,” the Coach told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“In terms of squad depth and quality, Inter are close to Juventus. They changed Coach just a few days before the season began, so Frank de Boer basically started from scratch.

“They have some great champions at their disposal, but are perhaps lacking in consistency. Joao Mario and Ever Banega give no reference points to the opposition defence, but we are prepared and will have the right men in the right places.

“We won’t have any alibis going out there at San Siro, as we will remain positive and won’t change our approach to the game. We know we must play with our heart and soul.

“Cagliari have done well at the Stadio Sant’Elia so far this season, while in general I think 10 points from seven rounds is a good tally.”
