The 25-year-old is currently tied to the Beneamata until June 2015 and, following the closure of the transfer window, his future is now set to be a topic of conversation at San Siro.

“I’ve never said that I want to leave and the club have never invited me to move on,” the centre-back told QS.

“I want to stay at Inter, but my renewal depends on the club.”

The former Bari stopper was signed from Genoa in January 2011. The Gazzetta dello Sport’s yearly salary report claims he earns €2.2m a season after tax.

Ranocchia, an Italian international, has been linked with Juventus and Milan in recent months.

The man who started his career at Perugia and then Arezzo has scored four goals in 64 League games for the Beneamata.
