“We’re extremely sorry about Pupi,” the defender told Inter Channel. “He’s the leader of this team. There are four games left and now we have to give everything for him.
“There’s some sort of a curse – we’re losing a player to injury with every game,” he added. “When you’re facing bad luck you need to hold firm and give even more.
“There are four tough games remaining and with this emergency situation they’re going to be difficult. We need to show heart and courage – and give everything we have inside of us.
“If we don’t get some players back by Sunday then we’ll only have eight players from the first team…”
The Beneamata, now in seventh, will end the campaign with games against Napoli, Lazio, Genoa and Udinese.
