It was reported that Ranieri had told the squad he will leave the club after the season and now the coach has confirmed Saturday’s match against Parma is his last game in charge of the Blucerchiati.
“I have already told the team that I will not remain for another year,” he told the club’s official website. “There aren’t the right content and conditions to stay.

The former Leicester City coach has spent one and a half seasons at Sampdoria, bringing them to safety with a 15th place in the first term.
Sampdoria are currently ninth in Serie A with one match left this term.
“I want to thank everyone. The players were wonderful,” he continued. “Especially in a moment like the lockdown, at the end of which we secured safety.
“This year we fought and fought, we played many good games, some bad, but that’s football. I want to thank my players with all my heart.”
