Monaco Coach Claudio Ranieri says he has no problem with the constant speculation surrounding his future at the club.
The Italian tactician guided the big spending side back into France’s top flight last season and looks set to deliver Champions League qualification this time around.
However, a recent defeat to lowly Guingamp in the French Cup semi-finals has triggered a fresh outbreak of rumours that he will lose his job in the summer.
“It can’t be that only one defeat puts my position in peril,” Ranieri is quoted as saying by L’Equipe.
“The President here is very intelligent. Even PSG, who have had a great season in the League and Champions League, are talking about the future of Laurent Blanc.
“It’s normal, that’s how football works and it’s not a problem for me.
“For me it’s just important to focus on the next game.”
