Christian Pulisic has added to the Milan problems for this evening’s Serie A showdown with Napoli, as he is reportedly suffering from flu symptoms.

It kicks off at San Siro at 19.45 GMT.

You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from this game, Cagliari-Bologna and Lecce-Verona on the Liveblog.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Pulisic is struggling with flu symptoms and is feeling feverish, so coach Paulo Fonseca does not want to risk him from the starting XI.

It is a real concern, as the USMNT star has been easily their best performer so far this season with seven goals and three assists in 11 competitive appearances.

Pulisic had been due to start in the trequartista role behind the striker, at the centre of a trio supporting Alvaro Morata.

Instead, Ruben Loftus-Cheek should now be moved there, bringing Yunus Musah into the midfield two with Youssouf Fofana.

Rafael Leao is tipped to be dropped regardless, as Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze get the nod on the flanks.

The Rossoneri are already decimated going into the match, as Theo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders are suspended.

Their bans were meant to have been for the trip to Bologna on Saturday, but as that fixture was postponed due to severe weather warnings in the area, the suspension carries on to this midweek round.

Also absent are injured Matteo Gabbia, Tammy Abraham, Luka Jovic, Alessandro Florenzi and Ismael Bennacer.
