The Frenchman was handed a two-game suspension for allegedly clashing with a steward at the end of Genoa-Roma last Sunday, but has declared that he will appeal against the decision.

Set to meet the Court of Appeal this Friday, Garcia has now received the backing of the Grifone's President.

“I have an excellent relationship with Roma,” said Preziosi, as reported by La Repubblica.

“I've given instructions to lighten the situation.”

Simultaneously the steward who accused Garcia of aggression is reportedly looking to reconsider his accusations.

La Repubblica reports that the steward now believes he ‘misinterpreted’ the Roma Coach.
