Udinese owner Giampaolo Pozzo has claimed that his team do not need to sell their star players in the summer.

The Zebrette have become renowned for moving on some of their better players in recent years, with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Samir Handanovic and Kwadwo Asamoah all leaving Stadio Friuli.

But the President has insisted that there are no plans to off-load the big names, whilst also commenting on Antonio Di Natale's likely contract renewal.

“If we sell, then we will buy,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “With virtuous management we have been able to balance the budget.

“We do not need to sell, but we know we are a small team and that we have some big players.

“Many of the boys are young and ambitious, so it is difficult for them to say no when a big club comes calling.

“The only one who has said no is Di Natale, who turned down Juventus.

“There is no problem with his renewal. He is a man of integrity – like Totti.”
