Sampdoria midfielder Andrea Poli has blasted former club Inter for their “absurd” behaviour. “I felt like I was on Candid Camera.”

He was on target in today’s 1-0 win over Bologna, having never scored in Serie A before last week and now with two goals in as many games.

“I am very happy with the goals, especially as both of them were important to achieve results,” said Poli.

“Is there any truth in interest from Juventus? I don’t know. As for my time at Inter, these were incredible moments. I felt like I was on Candid Camera.

“They told me that I was 100 per cent going to be signed on a permanent basis after the loan spell, but then they changed their minds and dealt with the matter in an absurd fashion.

“When you receive a call-up to pre-season training, you think that you’re going to actually attend, but then something happened. I don’t know what it was, as you’d have to ask them.

“There is not disappointment as such, but rather some people ought to learn respect for others. In any case, I am happy to be here playing for Sampdoria.”
