Juventus were held to a 0-0 draw by Genoa at the Allianz Stadium in a highly disappointing match for many Bianconeri, especially Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic.
Juventus
Szczesny 6.5 – A superb save after less than 10 minutes.
Gatti 6 – Aggressive, but lacked quality in the final third. Predictable.
Bremer 6 – Looked super irritable in the first half, but was more composed after the break.
Danilo 5.5 – A yellow card in the first half was inevitable. Like Bremer, he was surprisingly cranky.
Cambiaso 6 – Juventus were dangerous only through his crosses from the right. Exemplary attitude. No surprise he received applause from the stands when he was subbed off (82′ Kean 6).
McKennie 5.5 – The USMNT star looked a little tired and didn’t contribute in the final third. (58‘ Rabiot 5.5)
Locatelli 5.5 – A decent defensive performance but once again, Juventus moved the ball too slowly.
Miretti 5.5 – Some promising late runs, but the final passes were always disappointing (77′ Weah N/A)
Kostic 4.5 – He didn’t put a single cross in and was soft defensively. (58′ Iling-Junior 5.5)
Vlahovic 4 – At least he tried, but it wasn’t enough. Lost his temper in the final minutes and received a straight red card. He had just returned from a one-match ban.
Chiesa 4 – Like a fish out of water. Tactically confused. Played on the left, on the right and in the middle but never found a good position to hurt. He was not the usual, explosive, Chiesa with the ball at his feet. (58′ Yildiz 6)
Coach: Allegri 5 – Juventus kept relying on counter-attacks, even at home against Genoa. Many players were irritable. Danilo and Bremer in the first half. Vlahovic seconds before the final whistle, when he was sent off.
Genoa: Martinez 6.5; De Winter 6, Bani 6.5 (85′ Cittadini N/A), Vasquez 6.5; Spence 7, Badelj 6 (85′ Bohinen N/A), Frendrup 6.5 (69′ Strootman 5.5), Messias 6; Gudmundsson 7 (69′ Malinovskyi 6), Vitinha 7; Retegui 6 (79′ Ankeye N/A). Coach: Gilardino 7.
