Roma announced Miralem Pjanic “is not for sale” and sent Federico Balzaretti to America for surgery.
The Giallorossi responded to recent rumours of a Paris Saint-Germain bid for Pjanic by releasing a statement on their official Twitter account.
“AS Roma would like to stress that there are no talks underway regarding the exit of Miralem Pjanic. The player is not for sale.”
The Bosnian international midfielder has been repeatedly linked with a host of top European clubs, including PSG, Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United.
Meanwhile, Roma also announced that left-back Balzaretti will undergo surgery at the University of Massachusetts in Boston today.
He has been struggling with a groin injury for over a month and will be treated for a small sports hernia.
