The Viola beat Pistoiese 3-0 in this evening’s friendly with Eysseric converting a penalty on his debut following the transfer from Nice.
Benassi, who arrived yesterday from Torino, also came on for the second half.
“Benassi hadn’t trained with us, but he really wanted to play and is an intelligent guy, so he can play anywhere,” said Pioli in a Press conference.
“Eysseric arrived yesterday, both he and Benassi proved already that they are top level players. Eysseric has a lot of quality, he needs to move around more and occupy spaces without giving the opposition many reference points.
“Khouma Babacar did well in some ways, but in others we all need to improve quickly. Those who took part in full pre-season training are in decent shape, although not at 100 per cent.
“The arrival of two quality players like Eysseric and Benassi is certainly positive, but we are still missing some players.”
