Tiago Pinto will officially leave Roma next month and is now reportedly being targeted by Saudi side Al-Nassr.
The 39-year-old has been the Giallorossi’s sporting director since January 2021 and is now confirmed to be leaving on February 3, ending a three-year spell in the Italian capital. His time in charge coincided with the team’s Conference League victory and run to the Europa League final.
Roma are now gearing up to appoint Pinto’s replacement and reports suggest that their top choice is Frederic Massara, who is still out of work following his unexpected departure from Milan last summer. Massara previously spent eight years in the Italian capital from 2011 to 2019.
As reported by TMW, Pinto could make his way to Saudi Arabia after serious interest from Al-Nassr, who already have a strong Portuguese contingent in the form of Cristiano Ronaldo, Luis Castro and Otavio.
In recent months, the 39-year-old was also linked with moves to Tottenham and Liverpool, suggesting that he’ll have a number of options after his time with Roma comes to an end.
