It is safe to say Rafael Leao didn’t enjoy Antonio Cassano’s latest interview with Rai, as the Milan star quoted it on X, formerly Twitter, using clown emojis.
Cassano released his first interview in months on Sunday night and once again had nothing nice to say about the Milan and Portugal forward, scorer of a goal in the Rossoneri’s 3-0 win over Lecce on Saturday.
“Leao thinks he is a genius and some even agree with him. I just consider him a good player and I have not changed my mind on that,” said Cassano, among other things.
“For five and a half months he didn’t score in a poor league like Serie A. Years ago, he would’ve struggled to play in the sixth or seventh team in Serie A.”
Cassano also compared the Portuguese striker to Premier League stars such as Marcus Rashford and Phil Foden, saying that the Manchester United ace had a better season than Leao in 2022-23, while Foden “is a year younger and already has 21 goals and 10 assists” this term.
Ultimately, Cassano judged Leao as a “good player” with “great physicality” who only made a difference in Serie A.
The 24-year-old’s reaction on X was quick as he shared the video of Cassano’s interview, commenting with clown emojis.
