Multiple reports this evening, including Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia, La Gazzetta dello Sport and news agency Ansa, state Genoa have agreed to sell Piatek to Milan for €35m cash plus €2-3m in performance related bonuses.
As the payment will be in one lump sum rather than stretched out, Milan will save around €3m.
Milan President Paolo Scaroni confirmed the negotiations were essentially done.
Sportitalia report Piatek has already left Genoa in his car and will arrive at the Westin Palace Hotel in Milan – the traditional venue for Rossoneri signings – this evening, so he can have a medical tomorrow.
With that in mind, Higuain can leave for London by private jet, with permission from parent club Juventus, to have his Chelsea medical.
The Premier League side will take over Milan’s terms of a six-month loan for €9m with option to buy for €36m or option to extend the loan by a further 12 months.
Once that is done, Morata can fly out to Madrid in order to complete his transfer to Atletico.
