Swiss side Sion have admitted that it will be hard to keep boss Vladimir Petkovic amid interest from Lazio.

The Bosnian is the latest name to be linked with the capital hot-seat following the resignation of Coach Edy Reja.

“It won’t be simple for Petkovic to stay with us,” Sion President Christian Costantin stated. “It is hard when a club like Lazio make a call…”

The 48-year-old, formerly of Bellinzona, Young Boys and Samsunspor, was only appointed by the outfit in May when he was asked to avoid relegation.

“To work in Serie A would be a dream,” Petkovic noted. “I love offensive football and that culture doesn’t exist in Italy.

“I’d like to bring something new to the game over there.”

Lazio have been paired with a host of tacticians such as Gianfranco Zola, Roberto Di Matteo, Walter Mazzarri, Vincenzo Montella and Louis Van Gaal.
