Vladimir Petkovic is tired of Lazio’s inconsistency, but “we want to win” against Sassuolo despite an injury crisis.

The Biancocelesti travel to the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia on Sunday at 14.00 UK time (13.00 GMT). Click here for a match preview.

“Last season Sassuolo played very well in Serie B, though they had a few problems dealing with the impact of the top flight for the first time in their history,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“They showed character to draw with Napoli and now will want to prove themselves in front of the home fans too.

“I hope to see hunger and belief in my lads. We must bring quality to the performance in order to bring home three points. We are not at 100 per cent, but we want to win.”

Petkovic has few choices available to him, as Miroslav Klose, Abdoulay Konko, Stefan Radu, Giuseppe Biava, Diego Novaretti and the suspended Stefano Mauri are all unavailable. Lucas Biglia returns after a sprained ankle, though it's not clear how long he can play.

“Whoever steps on to the field will give 100 per cent. Senad Lulic is a tricky one, as I have to rest the few players who are left at the right time so that I can get the best out of them all.

“Lazio also have to start imposing their game on teams when away from home, as it’s a matter of belief.”

Lazio squad for Sassuolo: Marchetti, Strakosha, Guerrieri; Dias, Ciani, Vinicius, Pereirinha, Cavanda, Cana; Ledesma, Onazi, Ederson, Candreva, Lulic, Gonzalez, Hernanes, Biglia, Anderson, Crecco; Floccari, Perea, Keita
