The Delfini have not been in the top flight since 1992-93 and earned promotion in May when Zdenek Zeman was still on the bench.
Stroppa was picked up from Lega Pro side Sudtirol-Alto Adige and has never been a tactician in Serie B, let alone the top flight.
“I have great faith in what will no doubt be a very difficult game,” assured former Milan youth team manager Stroppa.
