Genoa’s general manager has invited Napoli to make an offer for Mattia Perin. “He wouldn’t be a gamble but rather a guarantee.”
Perin has been linked with replacing Pepe Reina as Napoli’s No 1 next season, and Giorgio Perinetti suggested the Partenopei were in pole position for the goalkeeper.
“You have to ask Napoli,” he told Radio Crc.
“Genoa want to keep him as much as possible because he’s a great champion, a player with personality and like a local here.

“Genoa want to keep him as much as possible because he’s a great champion, a player with personality and like a local here.
“His ambition is to play in the Champions League, but Napoli’s choices are different because I read different names every day.
“There has never been any contact between the two clubs, although maybe they’ve made enquiries to his agent.
“We’ll try to keep, although I’d prefer it if he stayed in Italy after leaving Genoa. Perin’s a much better player than I thought, with extraordinary quality.
“Choices must be made by others for their clubs. He wouldn’t be a gamble but rather a guarantee.
“For us, he’s an added value. If another team sign him, he’ll do well for them. Every goal is the same!
“Everyone looks at how a goalkeeper moves their feet nowadays, but I think a goalkeeper still has to make saves, although Perin is good technically.”
