“This game is very important, both because it’s a local derby and as the teams fighting against relegation have closed up in the table. There are fewer points up for grabs as we reach the closing stages and each result can be crucial,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“It’ll be a fascinating match and I want to see Verona step on to the field with the right mentality. Everything is wide open, anything could happen and there are many situations that are still to be defined.

“We can recover and to do that we must live every day with the desire to improve.”

Verona were promoted from Serie B this term, but Chievo find themselves hovering just above the drop zone after years of mid-table complacency.
