Fiorentina’s Manuel Pasqual is hoping for an international recall when Italy boss Cesare Prandelli names his squad for the March friendly against Brazil.
The almost 31-year-old has won two caps for his country, but they both came in 2006 when Marcello Lippi and then Roberto Donadoni were in charge of the side.
“There is still a glimmer of hope for a call-up,” the left-sided player stated. “But we’ll just have to wait and see.
“We’ll see what Prandelli thinks about it. If my name isn’t included when the next list is named then the door for a possible international future for me will be closed.”
The Azzurri will face World Cup hosts Brazil in a Geneva international friendly on March 21.
