Pandev agent refutes Viola links

The agent of Goran Pandev has quashed rumours linking his client with a move to Fiorentina.

The agent of Goran Pandev has quashed rumours linking his client with a move to Fiorentina.

Reports yesterday had indicated that the Viola were in the market for a striker, after Federico Bernardeschi joined Giuseppe Rossi on the sidelines, and with Marko Marin and Mario Gomez not fully recovered from injury.

The injury crisis means that Vincenzo Montella has Khouma Babacar as his only fit striker, and talk had linked Pandev with a move to Stadio Artemio Franchi.

The Macedonian’s agent, however, maintains his client is happy at Galatasaray.

“There has been no contact between Galatasaray and Fiorentina,” Carlo Pallavicini told Firenzeviola.it.

“At the moment there’s no chance of Pandev coming to Florence.

“He’s fine in Turkey, and I repeat, there’s been no contact with anyone from Fiorentina.

“The player is calm and, as I said, happy to continue with experience in Istanbul.”
