Roma President James Pallotta joked he’d “shoot himself” if their new stadium wasn’t ready until 2021.
The Boston-based magnate is in Rome this week and is holding a series of meetings regarding the Stadio della Roma project.
He spoke to Pagine Romaniste reporters as he was heading into a meeting with Enel energy suppliers this evening.

He spoke to Pagine Romaniste reporters as he was heading into a meeting with Enel energy suppliers this evening.
“The delays are also our own fault, as when we started the stadium project we didn’t expect all these difficulties, like complications on the environmental impact and design, etc.
“In April we will present the new project.”
Pallotta was told Roma fans would be happy just to have the stadium by 2021.
“I’d shoot myself if that were the date!”
