Palermo will meet with Fiorentina once more this weekend for Josip Ilicic, as their sporting director names his valuation.
The two clubs have been seen as in talks this summer to try and reach an agreement for the Slovenian’s arrival, with it suggested he will be a replacement for Adem Ljajic, who is wanted by Milan.
However, the Rosanero’s new sporting director Nicola Amoruso has warned that the maths on the two possible transfers will not add up to anything similar.
“We have already set to meet again with Fiorentina this weekend,” explained Amoruso to Fiorentinanews.com today.
“I do not believe that money alone from Ljajic’s move to Milan would take Ilicic, because they are talking about €7m or €8m [for Ljajic, whose contract expires in June 2014].
“The demand from Palermo [for Ilicic] is €12m to €13m and is therefore higher than the price for the Serb.
“We will evaluate whether it will be possible to satisfy our player.”
