Palermo: ‘Inter playing mind games’

Palermo Vice-President Guglielmo Miccichè thinks “Inter fear us and are playing mind games” ahead of Sunday's Coppa Italia Final.

The two clubs go head-to-head in the one-off game at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome tomorrow evening.

It is the Sicilians' first foray into the Final since the 1970s, while this represents Leonardo's only stab at silverware this season.

“Something doesn't convince me about Inter,” said Miccichè. “First they talk about Lucio, Andrea Ranocchia and Wesley Sneijder who aren't in good shape, but then those players look ready to take part.

“If they feel the need to play these mind games, then it means they fear us.”

The Palermo Vice-President also commented on reports it could be Javier Pastore's last game in a Rosanero jersey.

“We are only at the end of May, but there have been no concrete offers, so nothing would suggest Pastore will leave.

“We have always sold players only if they come to us with that express intention. Javier has not done that, as we want to keep him and he wants to stay.”
