There is good news from Monza, as Pablo Mari has started training with his teammates again for the first time since he was stabbed in a deadly supermarket attack.
The defender was in the wrong place at the wrong time on October 27 when he was the first person stabbed in the back and shoulder in a random spree of violence.
In all five people were taken to hospital and one supermarket employee was killed.
Pablo Mari had surgery the next day to close up some of the wounds and was released home, expecting to be out of action for circa four months.
However, he is recovering ahead of schedule and today resumed training with his Monza teammates for the first time.
He will now be hoping to return to the field when Serie A fixtures kick off again on January 4.
Pablo Mari is still owned by Arsenal, but joined Monza on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
