The mother of Lazio youth team player Daniel Guerini warned ‘someone sees everything’ after thieves stole items left by friends and family at his grave.
Guerini was killed in a car accident in March 2021, just three days after his 19th birthday.
He was a product of the Lazio youth academy and had also spent time on loan at Torino, Fiorentina and SPAL.
The football family united in grief and outrage today after Guerini’s mother revealed items left at the grave by friends and family, including shirts, scarves and a little eagle toy referencing the Lazio club symbol, were stolen.
“To whoever you are, to you who dared to steal from Guero’s grave, I wish you all the ill in the world,” she wrote on social media.
“A scarf, a Scudetto symbol, an eagle… Watch out, someone sees everything…”
Lazio forward Ciro Immobile joined the condemnation of this horrific act.
“Guero, forgive them, for they know not what they do. Just disgusting, people without an ounce of humanity. Shame.”
Roma icon Francesco Totti also slammed the ‘shameful’ actions of someone who would steal from the tomb of a teenager.
Guerini was a creative midfielder who represented Italy at Under-15 and Under-16 level.
