Nemen Studios are based in Milan and known for innovative design. The fashion house has taken inspiration from the city streets in coming up with this unique design that provides a fresh twist on the classic Rossoneri shirt; a design that’s even been painted onto some of the trams operating in Milan over recent days.
Nemen often utilises fades in its design philosophy, and the effect of this shirt is of Milan’s traditional red and black stripes bursting through a plain white top. White shorts and socks complete the distinctive look, as Il Diavolo team up with a fashion brand for the first time in their history.
The shirt appears to be based on Puma’s Ultraweave template that we saw Italy wear for the first time in the Nations League in October 2021, as a re-release of the Azzurri’s Euro 2020-winning shirt. The result is ‘Puma’s lightest performance jersey ever’, perfect for keeping you comfortable on and off the pitch.
As well as the strip itself, which is available in a men’s and women’s version, Nemen has also designed two jackets and a pair of pants to complete the look of this stylish collection.
Milan Women debuted the strip in their 3-0 victory away to Empoli Ladies on Sunday, while the men will wear it for what’s expected to be the one and only time in tonight’s crucial game against Bologna. The Rossoneri are level on points with Napoli heading into the fixture, but will restore their three-point lead at the top of the Serie A table if they win this game in hand.
Napoli, of course, are the club who’ve pioneered the release of numerous kits through the season, collaborating with Giorgio Armani to deliver a plethora of new shirts during the current campaign. If Milan have success with this fourth kit, we can be sure they and many others will follow suit in a bid to bring fans further unique pieces to collect.
This kit is sure to be a real talking point during tonight’s game. As such a hot topic, there’s a good chance that it will sell out on Kitbag, with only limited stock remaining and some sizes starting to run out already.
